Salary Grade Set Up

1. Use Salary Review Dates in Personnel Definitions > Terms and Conditions to set up the dates at which Salary changes are to be affective.

 

 

2. Use Salary Grade in Personnel Definitions Terms and Conditions to set up the Salary grades and scale points as below.

 

 

3. For the main Salary grade, set the details as follows:

 

a) Salary Grade tab
i. Grade – User Defined Code
ii. Description – User Defined Description
iii. Scale Attached – Ticked
iv. All other fields can be left blank

b) Scale Points
i. Enter here a code and description for each scale point. (Note: points are alphabetical, so                         1 should be entered as 01 so as to maintain the correct sequencing).

c) Scales Values
i. Set the Review Date to that for which you have value.
ii. For each Scale Point enter the relevant value.

 

 

4. For the Sub-Grades, set the details as follows:

 

a) Salary Grade tab
i. Grade – User Defined Code
ii. Description – User Defined Description
iii. Use Another Scale – the code of a previously set up main grade
iv. Minimum Salary Point – the lowest scale point paid in this sub grade, selected from the main                         grade
v. Maximum salary point – the highest scale point paid in the sub grade, selected from the main                        grade
vi. All other fields can be left blank

b) Scale Points
i. This screen is not required for sub grades

c) Scales Values
i. This screen is not required for sub grades
