Applying Salary Changes

Uplifting the Salary Values by a Percentage

 

  1. Access the Uplift Salary Scales screen in Personnel Functions.
  2. Select the required Salary Grade from the list provided.
  3. If the change is not to apply to the whole grade, enter the point’s range.
  4. Enter the percentage by which the values are to be uplifted, OR leave blank and on next screen, enter the value by which they are to be uplifted. 
  5. Tick or untick Round to Nearest Pound, depending on your requirements.
  6. Enter the Review Date that holds the salary prior to the uplift being applied.
  7. Enter the Review Date that is to hold the salary after the uplift has been applied.
  8. Confirm that you wish to run the process.
  9. The process will then run and return control to the screen when the process has completed.

 

Applying the Salary Values to a Single Employee

 

  1. Either access Apply Grade Changes, in Personnel Functions.
  2. OR, access Apply Grade, in HR Record Employment. Click New.
  3. Select that you wish to update just a single employee.
  4. Enter the employee to be upgraded (Note: may be defaulted in, if it is the latest employee you have been working on).
  5. Set the Review Date to be the date that holds the values you wish to apply to the employee.
  6. Set the Effective From Date to be the date from which the new salary is to become effective.
  7. Select Reason For Salary Change.
  8. Click Ignore Bar Dates if required.
  9. Click Apply, then confirm if you wish to run the process.
  10. The process will then run and return control to the screen when the process has completed.

 

Applying the Salary Values to all Employee’s on a Grade or Grades

 

  1. Either access Apply Grade Changes, in Personnel Functions.
  2. OR access Apply, in HR Record Employment. Click New.
  3. Select that you wish to update One or more Grades.
  4. Enter the Grade to be upgraded (Note: you may leave this field blank and all grades will be updated).
  5. Click Include Sub Grades, if you wish to update Grades that have been set up based on another Grade.
  6. Click Increment, if employee’s are to be moved up a scale point while this process is running assuming they are not at the top of the grade.
  7. Set the Review Date to be the date that holds the values you wish to apply to the employee.
  8. Set the Effective From Date to the be the date from which the new salary is to be effective.
  9. Select the Reason For Salary Change.
  10. Click Ignore Bar Dates, if required.
  11. Click Apply, then confirm if you wish to run the process.
  12. The process will run in the scheduler and the bar on the screen displaying when the process has completed.
